The 18th Thai Elephant Day is Coming!

March 8, 2017

National Thai Elephant Day helps raise awareness in hopes of funding
the conservation of these majestic animals.

Despite being protected by the
government of Thailand, their population has been in deep decline during the last century. They’re numbers have been affected by climate change, habitat deconstruction and poaching. It is believed that around 4,000-6,000 elephants are left in Thailand, with half living in captivity.

The 18th Thai Elephant Day will be on March 13,2017 and will be hosted by Mae Sa Elephant Camp in the Mae Rim District., Chiang Mai. There will be Khantoke Food for 70 Elephants. If you would like to attend please contact: Mae Sa Elephant Camp Tel. 053-206-247 053-206-248.
