This July will be the month of fantasy with July 2 featuring The Taste of Tea - 2004, Katsuhito Ishii; July 9 showing Where the Wild Things Are - 2009, Spike Jonze; July 16 showing Holiday in Thailand (Buddhist Lent Day); July 23 showing Memories of Matsuko - 2006, Tetsuya Nakashima and July 30 showing Pan’s Labyrinth - 2006, Guillermo del Toro. July 04: US Independence Day
Where: Chiang Mai Municipal Stadium
When: 14:00 – 20:00
Celebrate Independence Day from 14:00 – 20:00. Enjoy eating great food from popular restaurants such as The Duke’s, Miguel’s and The Steak House with an entertainment zone for children, teens and adults, including food, games, jumpers, raffles, music, dancing and fireworks! Tickets cost 160 baht for adults, 80 baht for six – 12 year old kids, and free for under six year old kids.

July 10: Takraw match
Where: 700 Years Stadium, Chiang Mai
When: From 17:00
‘Red Panda’ Chiang Mai will play home games against Nakornpathom in the traditional Thai sport of Takraw which is a mix of volleyball and football played with a small wicker ball.

July 25: Flea Market
Where: JJ Market, Chiang Mai.
When: from 11:00 – 17:00
