Gourmands head for Chiang Mai hotel
25 Jul 2011
The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevin Resort in Chiang Mai will host one of Paris’s finest master chefs next month. Christopher Hache usually oversees the gastronomic specialities created at the Hotel de Crillon in the French capital.
The Michelin-star chef is bringing his finely-honed skills to Chiang Mai and will cook two dinners for the hotel’s renowned Farang Ses Restaurant. The first dinner will coincide with Mother’s Day on August 12 and the second, the day after.
Diners at the hotel restaurant will be treated to a six-course culinary extravaganza featuring signature dishes of Atlantic seabass carpaccio, Canadian lobster, gnocchi Provencal, Landes duck liver casserole, roast rack of lamb and raspberry tartlet garnished with lemon cream.
All the meals’ courses will be prepared using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Prices for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of dining on Paris’s best in Chiang Mai have been set at 4,400 Baht per person.
The hotel is also operating a special promotion for Chef Hache’s two-day visit. An all-inclusive price of 19,600 Baht will secure a one-night stay in one of the hotel’s Colonial Suites, dinner for two people and a buffet breakfast on the following morning.
The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevin is a luxury five-star establishment on the eastern edge of Chiang Mai which, as well as gourmet dining, offers guests rejuvenating spas and pampered holidays in one of the country’s most exclusive accommodation establishments.
